algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi everyone,

I have now finally gotten to a point in my life, where it seems like I need to get a hold of a visual studio copy and I just quickly checked online and it seemed like there are a couple of different options, so I was just wondering if anyone had any kind suggestions as to which option to choose:)

I will be doing a bunch of clases, and maybe some components for comunity :)

Get the Express edition of the latest Visual Studio. It's free and most likely enough for whatever you're developing. If you want to spend any money I recommend spending it on Resharper first, it's a fantastic plugin to VS that really helps catch a lot of potential bugs.

cool - I will get that one :)

I just got confused by all the new different free options that are compatible with this and that and works with the cloud..

I would recommend 2013 over 2015...  I run 2013 on my laptop and 2015 on the desktop and it seems that text highlight and all the text formatting options are waaaay* faster in 2013.

Maybe it's a machine-specific bug, but it seems they've changed some text formatting options (renaming is much different).

*and by "waaay" i mean 2-3 seconds faster while it takes "no time" in 2013.
