generative modeling for Rhino
As part of a larger project we are trying to define a VB component that computes and returns a value, but has no input parameters. Using the standard "empty" VB component we assign a value to output parameter "A". That works. Using the "Zoom to edit" GUI we remove the "x" input parameter. The component appearance changes (showing the 'sawtooth' on the left side). The VB edit window shows the correct function signature, but both the 'out' and 'A' output parameters show "Empty ... parameter" and the component shows this run-time error:
1. Solution exception, capacity was less than the current size. Parameter name: capacity
I've expanded the VB script and searched for 'capacity' but don't find it.
Misunderstanding, Bug, or "as expected"??

It's one of my bugs, nothing to do with the code you see in the Script Editor. I'll fix it for the next release.

Permalink Reply by Brian Johnson on May 19, 2012 at 10:50am Super! Looking forward to it.

It's fixed now. 0.9.0001 will be able to handle VB/C# scripts with no input parameters.
