generative modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I've designed a tower, of wich I have calculated each floor seperatly, divided the curves that form the floor area, connected the point with lines and lofted each level.
So far so good, but now I need to modify the skin, so I need ONE lofted surface instead of 22...
Although it doesn't seem to hard to do...GH refuses to give me my surface :(
Tried joining or unioning the surfaces, unioning and joining the curves...
GH won't even create a polyline that I can sweep...if I try to create a polyline, it just says 'insufficient points for a polyline'
Can anybody help me with this please ?
thx

Nino, not sure why you would 'divide the curves that form the floor area' and connect points wit lines?

Why don't you just loft loft the original area curves into one surface?
Hi Dirk,

Because if I put the area curves in to the loft component (with shift button)...I get 'Null' as an output...
And when I merge the area curves, and than loft them, I also get 22 untrimmed periodic surfaces...
:(
probably an issue with how you are organizing the curves...can you post the def to see where things are not working?
Sorry, when I merge them, I also get Null as an output :)
Is it because they are 'Periodic planar curves' ?
And how could I change them ?
(It are now scaled curves from control points)
Thx
i think you should either order your curves from top to bottom, or flatten the input of curves for the loft if they are in the right order already...

if that doesn't work... try uploading your definition
Bram, my dear grasshopper-brother, once aigain you saved me !!
It was indeed the flatten-input that did it !
Thanks, and good luck with your project! I'm looking forward to see it!
'till monday! :)
call me grassbrother :)
