The Grasshopper SDK only shows white pages

Hi,

i downloaded the .chm file over this link: http://download.mcneel.com/s3b/mcneel/grasshopper/1.0/sdk/en/Grassh..., because the download over Help>Download SDK Help in Grasshopper didn't work for me.

But when i open it, it only shows me a white page.

Is there a oportunity to fix this or an alternative for the .chm file?

How do you read the SDK?

If you right click on the file in Windows Explorer and select Properties is there an Unblock button?

There was a security part under the attributes that said, that the file was from a different Computer. After i clicked the butten next to it, the problem disappeared.

The problem doesn't usually present itself because David wrote a routine within GH to download a Binary File and build the CHM at the local computer.

You say this Help>Download SDK feature didn't work. Was there any error messages?

There was no error message.

If i click Help>Download SDK Help the Save Grasshopper SDK Documentation As... windows appears. When i click save a small window appears and instantly disappears.

(it was hard for me to catch it)

When i look in the directory, where i wanted to save it, the file is missing.

maybe there is some sort of user permissions thing going on here. David is absent at the moment, maybe he'll see this on his return

One way to get more information would be to delete the downloader application.

Search your Grasshopper installation folder for an app called SDKDownloader.exe and either delete, move or rename it. Then download the SDK again, this time Grasshopper will use an internal (not background) download process that may display error messages in the Rhino command history.

Let me know if that yielded anything new.

Error 407 (Proxy authentication required) and Rhino crashed. So it's our Proxy that's blocking.

Now we know the reason. Sorry to cause you trouble and thanks for the help.
