Confirming OP's link works.

A note to all:

To be future proof, just check Microsoft's download site for the latest version of "C++ 2005 x86" if you need to install Grasshopper again.

I googled "vcredist_x86 2005" and the first site at the top of the list is the one I Linked to but only after when it was apparent that it wasn't working did I check the info.

It was last published in 2006 and only supports Windows 2000 Service Pack 3, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Service Pack 2.
