but i would like to have this perpendicular view.
any ideas?
Permalink Reply by Hannes Löschke on February 21, 2012 at 8:34am Not that I'm aware of. Might be a limitation of the Rhino viewport. As far as I know there is no way to adjust the size and style of native Rhino text tags.

Permalink Reply by Danny Boyes on February 21, 2012 at 8:40am If you open up the File "grasshopper_kernel.xml" in Your settings folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper
You can search for the entry Text2DTagSize:
#item name="Text2DTagSize" type_name="gh_int32" type_code="3">12#/item>
and change the 12 for 32 for example. Note # replace < for display purposes
Make sure Rhino and Grasshopper aren't open when you make the change otherwise you won't see the desired results.

If it's a global constant, it should be exposed in the preferences somewhere... but we get totally a neccesary content filter instead ;)

The Problem you have is existing Tag components already have the size assigned to them you would need to delete them and create new ones after any changes. And if you do this whilst the program is open you get some very funny behaviour.

This is a set once and move on with your life type hack the way things are at the moment.

Which version of grasshopper are you using?
Permalink Reply by Hannes Löschke on February 21, 2012 at 9:20am You won't see it unless you have all the "show hidden files" options in your Windows explorer enabled.
