algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi David!

I think there is a bug in the "surface curvature" outputs.

The Gaussian curvature and the mean curvature are changed.

We know taht the mean curvature of the Catenoid is zero as it is a minimal

surface and we also know that the gaussian curvature is not zero as it is not

a developable surface. But the Grasshopper bubble "surface curvature"

gives us zero for the Gauss curvature and the mean curvature is not zero.

I mind Be able to help you, can uou provide me the parameter's points in order to re-gegenerate your surface?

I have uploaded a gh file with the Scherk surface.

The Scherk surface is a minimal surface and therefore

the mean curvature must be zero at any point of the

surface. 

Tom, why do you say that curved surface there will never

be an exact 0.00000 in mean curvature?
