algorithmic modeling for Rhino

split surface- very slow- please help

Hello there, I am using the surface split definition (using lines from Rhino) but it is taking a very long time to solve it (10 min or more), any ideas of why it is so slow and how to make it faster?

would really appreciate some help as I have a deadline tomorrow.

Also, please be patient, the file DF1 take a wile to open... I have also included another file DF2 where I have disconnected the surface split definition so it opens much faster.

Hi Michelle,

I am afraid the [surface split] component can't work any faster with so many lines.

Here is a possible workaround (it is kind of silly but I couldn't come up with something better...), using the [polyline offset] component from clipper plugin.
