generative modeling for Rhino
Hello i am trying to sort (this is a simplified version) at a later stage in a definition so that i can generate some polyline in either x or y direction.
Is there an easy way to sort these points? I have read various forum discussions on sorting but cant understand the sequence that i am getting which make them very difficult to work with.
I need simple rows as the output from a grid- how i can order these points - is there a easy way to do it?
Cheers!
Chris

This is a grid that is bendable into a gridshell and i want to use the newly formed polylines to calculate bending angles against the original flat grid - but the point list and order of the output doesnt allow me to redraw the polylines.

There are three components with the Text REPLACE but they all have different icons.

Permalink Reply by Michael Pryor on October 19, 2011 at 2:18pm I am on the darkside lol, I just never used that particular component. I am practicing now to be on the evil side, learning path mapper.

Be ready to confront with horrid sombre monstruosities.
Permalink Reply by Michael Pryor on October 19, 2011 at 2:36pm I know, truth is I always want to learn path mapper but I never have been confronted with a situation where I needed it, or maybe I just don't know what its best for. Got any good situations where only path mapper will do the trick?
