generative modeling for Rhino
i am design small building using grasshopper , which similar to these pic's i attached .
i am not have a good experience yet with grasshopper , i will be happy if you advice me .
-- the idea is great the building with triangles .
i have to greate :
1- triangle gride wich will be structure. ( the triangles have same size)
2-extrude triangles (with 3 different extruded ).
(will be clear if download the pic)
so i started definitions with triGride ,, how i an set on my surface?
-how i extruded with 3 diferent hight ?
or eny way 2 do it. :(
thanks for your help.

how can the triangles be same size .. as the pic's?
(the idea : have same size of triangles + 3 different hight )
i will try with it when i download it.
thank you :)
could you upload your rhino file with the surface, i think it depends on it to have same size of triangles fitting the hole of surface. Somebody could help us here??

From what i understand from reading Daniel Pikers post in this thread is that have the same size triangles is only possible with certain surfaces.
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/triangulation-scrip-with?...
@ Architecture... I started writting a GH workflow for you in my head last night as did not have GH to Hand, using your workflow, to map the a triangle grid onto a surface. Have a look at the " Map to Surface" component.
With regards to the Scaling and Extrudes should the longer the extrude the smaller the opening at the end or should all the opening be the same size, what ever the lenght of the extrude??
Hope this Helps.
Matt
P.s That post linked is a year old so it maybe possible in Kangaroo now.

i was download the rhino file .. i can change the surface until i get the eqal triangles.
i tried different shape ,,
___
can u see it please _
thanks :)
__________
thank you Matt Gaydon
iwas tried ur file but if i scale the hight as i need 3.5 the scale of triangle will change.. and i cunnot cut the shape to be flat on the bottom
which map ? i didnot understand :(
thanks alot
Permalink Reply by architecture on December 19, 2011 at 3:46pm here some exampls of equal triangls with different surface .
how they did it !!
:(
Permalink Reply by Matt Gaydon on December 19, 2011 at 3:58pm Sorry i think some things got lost in Translation the link was in answer to the question of getting equal triangles on a surface.
I attached your workflow as a quick code, though this code still needs refining to have more control.
Hope this helps

I THINK THIS WILL WORK ( I CANNOT OPEN THE FILE BUT I SEEN ON OTHER LAPTOP)... THE TRIGRIDE IS OKKK
BUT THE TRIANGLE ON THIS GRID HAVE TO BE EQUAL SIZE AS WELL ..
THE NEXT STEP; I EXTRUDE GROUP OF TRISNGLE TO 3 DIFFERENT HIGHT . AS 1ST PIC .
THANKS 4 UR HELLLLP :)
