Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello GH experts,

I am attempting to recreate Simmons Hall by Steven Holl architects in Grasshopper, while maintaining complete parametric control. I'm having procedural/conceptual issues creating a simple parti of the structural elevation (image included "Structural Elevation"). I started with a simple iso trim, but the grid is irregular on the edges (1/2 of typical spacing). So I attempted graph mapper with bezier curves and reconstructed a domain2 and found I didnt have enough control.

Also, shifting gears, I dropped a few points into my rhino document to start selecting faces of the original iso trim based on a less than distance to the divided brep faces centroids, but found that by using this method I wouldnt be able to select rectangular areas to start creating the swiss cheese effect of Simmons Hall.

I am wondering if anyone would mind lending me some advice on where to start physically or conceptually in recreating the parti of this building which I can then use to begin massing.

Any help is appreciated!

tldr; Any ideas on how start modelling Simmons Hall in GH?
