algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to scale a voronoi 2d shapes depending on their distance to the attractor point. so the closer the shapes are to the attractor, the smaller they should get.

 

So far, I've been able to scale them but not the way I want...

I thought it was going to be easy but I'm having a hard time, hope someone can help me.

Tnx for definition... I am playing with it  last 24 h......just started with GH.....is there any way to do the same effect with attractor curve?? or is there possibility to create uniform panel that I can put beside each other to create line of panels. I tried to import points from my seamless voronoi panel in to your definition but no success...any help or link? Kind Regards

Hi Zaghloul4d, 

there is  a chance that this method could work for the 3d Voronoi without scaling the voids as well

i'm a newbie with GH and i need help..

i need to model the same attractor effect for the voronoi panel in the attached photo.

i'm downloaded your gh file and tryed to edit.. but i've some trouble..

i've created a new rectangule 300cm x 100cm, created a spline for point path, but i've no hole..

And then how can i reduce voronoi pattern dimension? (like attached photos?)

Again, great definition! I have the definition working below but I'm trying to remove the surfaces that are outside of the circular area. I have an "Inside" component setup which checks the center points of the surfaces inside of a closed cylinder. Can't seem to remove the surfaces though so I'm not sure what I'm missing. Attached definition and rhino base file. Any Ideas?

Also, any idea on how to add multiple attractor points?

I was wandering also how can it be done with an attractor curve?

wow thanks guys for the fast answers, but i think the last script is not working properly or maybe i don't know how to set it right :)

you have to make visible the surface layer in rhino, than set to the Geo. Comp. (at the beginn) to the surface. than it must go.

Here is a version I made, I went a little further having fun and added height and smoothing. Also its reversible via filter switch.
