algorithmic modeling for Rhino

save value on button press

Given that there is a continuous stream of data (coming from a sensor etc) and I want to record certain (single) values when I press a button, is there a simple way to do this?

Currently the only way I've thought of is to bake a bunch of stuff to rhino as a sort of permanent memory store but there's probably a better way to do it inside grasshopper..

whelp nevermind, forgot I encountered and solved this problem before in a different context.

(Metahopper's [Get Selected Object] and [Set Object Value] to trigger [Data Dam] then [Record] for reference)

EDIT: oooor just use [Data Dam] and [Record].. goddamnit brain..
