generative modeling for Rhino
Hi everyone,
I was just wondering myself if it was possible to create a scrolling list of values and select one of those. This is for drawing some details of differents beams jointed together.
Actually I use a list Item, which is Set on a number (ex. UPN200 is number 26), but is that possible to select UPN200 value by its own name ? or in a scrolling list ???
Thanks,
Eric

to add to Fabian's answer, if you type "One = 1", when you select One, the value 1 will be returned.
With a little more effort, it's also possible to add a control or a menuitem to the context menu that appears when right clicking a component. Finally, with even slightly more effort, it's also possible to create a parameter with a special appearance, similar to the "Value list" one.
I hope this helps,
- Giulio

If you're after a ready made solution, StructDrawRhino can help.
The associated plugins can also enable exchange of your model to Revit, Tekla, Archicad etc if you need to use the model data there. Happy to explain further if you're interested in testing.
Cheers,
Jon

I tested different ways to apply your solutions, and after some tests with value list & Geometry Gym, the closest solution to the work I have to do is Geometry gym plugin... It outperformes what I was Imagining...
A big thanks to you Fabian, Giulio & Jon, it was very helpful...
