generative modeling for Rhino
Anybody else having issues with Rhino5 files being excessively heavy for no reason?? my file is at almost 1gb for no reason? I save small all the time but its still huge. Any suggestions?

Permalink Reply by Hannes Löschke on April 16, 2012 at 12:59pm Obviously the size depends on the complexity of the surfaces. My biggest file yet has about 6000 surfaces and I can't render in V4 because the render mesh will blow the 4GB limit.
You probably have 4 sided planar surfaces. With about 90.000 objects, even small changes in object size will blow the whole structure up. Probably there are some additional fields in R5 to represent the new light extrusions. But as Danny said, the developers surely will know.
