"reverse" attractor effect

been investigating several attractor deff, but am trying to do the reverse effect of what they all do. that is, have the density around the point and decays with distance.

basically the reverse effect as this : http://designreform.net/2008/06/rhino-patterning-based-on-point-dis...

any ideas on how to accomplish this?

kinda able to keep highlight the area where the pt is located, then decay as the circles get farther from the pt.

seeing if anyone has any alt ideas for making this work w/ a crv AND/OR w/ less fall off decay.

looks like you got it. for a curve just use 'closest pt on curve' to control falloff try a graph mapper.

awesome! got the curve to work now.

but not sure where the graph mapper gets plugged in.

the graph mapper lets you control the falloff. give it a list of numbers between 0 & 1 and it will output numbers between 0 & 1, remapped based on the graph. it's a handy tool.

take a look at the attached def. also, note how I use domain components to get the max/min distance values.

I've also been doing some research on "reverse attractors" for some panels we are going to fabricate. I've been struggling with applying multiple curves to the definition you listed, is there any way you could help me out?
