Permalink Reply by Matthew Au on April 21, 2012 at 2:38am Hi, If anybody is still having this problem, it turns out (at least on my end) that it is related to a recent release of Skype. The 'click to call' application interferes with the Windows clipboard and disrupts everything from MS word to Grasshopper. Skype has since updated its software to correct this problem, you can download the most recet version from their site or just uninstall skype and everything should be back to normal.

Permalink Reply by Jon Martin on May 15, 2012 at 7:27pm Skype was indeed the problem. Should something strange like this happen again I found selecting the components you want, dragging and then pressing alt still worked fine.
