generative modeling for Rhino

Is there an easy way to reorder the input and/or output parameters of a C#/VB Script component? Following a strict order is in my case very important, yet when I need to reshuffle them in the end, I keep adding and removing them manually in order to be placed in the order I need them to.

I've tried to do so through the XML-source of the GHX, but I need just about the same time to adjust it there (with the risk of making mistakes) as I need in Grasshopper.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Best,

Niels

What is your criteria for the order?

I have a couple of comparable VB components at the moment (performing some structural analysis). From time to time I need extra parameters, but I often add them while programming, resulting in comparable components, but not with a consistent look.

Moreover, it would also help to reduce  the visual complexity of the model.

Can you show an example?

This illustrates the "issue": the two components are mostly the same (but cannot be combined to one because of some fundamental differences), and I'd prefer the order of the input params to be as identical as possible. I can add and remove them in the order I want them to be, but was just wondering if there's any easier method I'm not aware of.

Sorry, I completely misunderstood the question. I though you were referencing params in Rhino, like pts and then wanting to add more.

Aha, nope, that wasn't the case. No problem!
