Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to design a vault and dome by using reciprocal structure. I am having a trouble about form finding. Actually I'm new in grasshopper and I don't know how to use Kangaroo for this structure. I try to use it but the result is not correct and after running kangaroo the structure will become extremely deformed. I don't know how many I should give to the parameters and which one is the correct number?( I want to use wood as my material)
Another my question is that I didn't use reciprocal component for these algorithmS. So I worried about my last result.
I would appreciate any thought.

I updated the reciprocal definition to work with the latest version of Kangaroo.

(one of the goals is scripted, so you will need to set the assembly location to your libraries folder when you open it)

One of the reasons the method of rotating the edges works is because it starts the rods out in a good over/under pattern for the following optimisation. I'm not sure if the method your definition used to draw the lines would give this.

Thank you for your guidance.

Hi Daniel,

I have another question. how can i introduce number of fan and the angle of rise of elements in reciprocal component? when i use reciprocal component it give's me just a quad tessellation, so if i want to change my tessellation what should i have to do?

Thanks for your attention.
