Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi! I am using lady bug for calculating radiation.

Its happening on a surface and not a polysurface.

Please help!

Attached is the rhino file and the grasshopper script.

Thank You.

Hi Saurabh,

There are a few things I would like to suggest;

1. Your model is in centimeters, while it's not wrong to model in centimeters, For Ladybug and Honeybee, I would really recommend using meters.

2. The polysurface in your model is an open polysurface. This surface needs to be cleaner. Please find the image attached. I ran a sample for the same analysis period and the same weatherfile. It works. The surface I am analyzing is a closed polysurface.

3. The there seems to be some problem with results on your surface on the right too. In the month of June, the sun is quite high in the sky, so really the bottom part of surface should receive more radiation. However, as per your image, that's not happening.

All in all, I would say changing the scale and using a cleaner geometry should do the trick.
