Grasshopper

generative modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I'm quite new to Grasshopper, so this might seem like a simple question... But is there a component that creates a planar surface from more than four points? Or alternatively, from a closed polyline? The only ones I could find are "4Point Surface" or "Edge Surface" but the max of variables is 4. I'm trying to find something close to Rhino's "Surface from Planar Curves" command.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Miroslava, you can create a Planar Surface (in the surface > freeform tab) from a closed planar polyline.

This was fast! Thanks a lot Pieter. It worked beautifully!

:) Yeah I noticed that too, I think about 16 seconds or something, well, I happened to be around and your eye cought my attention, plus the question could be answered easily. Happy to help.
I can recommend reading the primer (though we kind of need a new one by now), it will jumpstart your Grasshoppering. Enjoy.

haha Thanks again!

I have started with all kinds of tutorials recommended on this website (which is a great resource to begin with!) I have a long way to go, but as the saying says, slow and steady wins the race... ;)
