Mesh Surface Component not working well for U and V equal to 1

Hi Guys,

When using the mesh surface component to transform a surface to a mesh with U and V number of meshes equal to 1, the resulting mesh is not matching the original surface ..

After looking into this, here is what I came out with;

It should be noted that the original surface is constructed in Rhino by splitting a bigger surface into two, and the resulting mesh is considering the very original non-splited surface and not the split part of it ..

Why is grasshopper considering in the resulting mesh the original surface and not the split part of the surface ?

Thanks.

The Mesh Surface component doesn't know how to deal with trims, it treats trimmed breps as the full underlying surface. The reason this component exists is that it has an alternate meshing algorithm from the standard Rhino one which is somewhat better at creating equally sized quads on curved surfaces. I think you need to use the Mesh Brep component.

Thanks David,

I need to use the mesh surface component because I need to define the U,V divisions, in the mesh brep component this is not possible,

Anyway, I managed to reconstruct the trimmed surface in grasshopper and then used the mesh surface component.
