Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I've downloaded the Kinect for Windows 1.8 SDK to use with an XBOX 360 sensor. SDK installed well, and my PC recognizes the XBOX NUI motor and Kinect USB Audio. Firefly has no observable communication with the Kinect, however.

I've reinstalled the SDK several times, tried multiple Kinects & USB + AC adaptors. Running it on Windows 7 (bootcamp) and Windows 7 (Parallels + Yosemite). Parallels tools is also installed properly.

I'm just not sure how to proceed. If anyone has information on these issues, please advise. Thank you.

Hi there I hope this response doesn't come too late. I've been playing around with the original xbox360 and firefly for around a year. I know the last Kinect SDK to be compatible with the Xbox 360 is v. 1.8, but the original Firefly was developed on SDk 1.5. When you download Firefly you can find the GH component Firefly.Kinect.V1 along with all other components on your computer under user/appdata/roaming/grasshopper/libraries. The Firefly.Kinect.V2 component runs off of Kinect SDK 2.0.
