Just wondering

Tryed to ofset a polysurface, but it was impossible so i exploded it and tryed to offset separate surfaces. Once i discovered the ofset was working in different directions on different surfaced i unified their normals. However, ofset worked in the same way. is it correct that offset dont depend on surf normal or it is a bug?
