Jitter Shuffling Strength Based on Distance from a point

Hi all!

Thanks in advance for the help with this. I want to know if it is possible to increase the jitter strength based on the proximity to a point.

I have a set of 12 colours and a bunch of surfaces as the surfaces get further away from the points they change colours, chosing a colour from one of the 12 colours. I have added a jitter component to this selection to 'blur' the boundaries between the colours. I, however, want the colours nearer the point to be more mixed up and the ones further away to be more ordered.

Thanks for any help with this, I'm completely stuck

If you uploaded your file i could take a look into possible solutions (and other forum users too).

Thanks for your reply.

The ReMap Numbers solution makes a world of sense in my head but as I am dealing with over 6000 jitter values Grasshopper freaks out and runs out of memory. To deal with this I grafted the values going into the Jitter component however this seems to result in no randomness at all. This is because, I'm guessing, that the values going into the Jitter need a list of simplified values to compare against one another?
