generative modeling for Rhino
Hello,
I saw a lot of definitions where circles or polygons are populated on the grid, and than manipuated by the atractor points or by the image sempler.
That is working fine, but I would like to sample custum shapes [vectors from illustrator or maybe even images], but how to sample the same object over the grid if it hasn’t have point that defines it’s centar? I wonder if there is some known method of puting custum shapes into some kind of placeholder.. Can you help?
Thanx,
svemir

Permalink Reply by Michael Pryor on May 12, 2012 at 10:52am vector lines or curves are really simple to use as attractors. http://formularch.blogspot.com/2012/04/gh-line-attract-repel.html here's an example I did once with text. http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/3dd-voronoi-text?context=user
Permalink Reply by Mark Hetterich on May 14, 2012 at 2:57am Cool and thanks for this, but I think we mean we want to use these vector lines and curves as the object in the grid itself.....your first example show quadratic shapes being manipulated....we would like these shapes to be customizable
