Input values from grasshopper list into an already existing excel table ?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if it is possible to input values that I have in a grasshopper list into an excel table that already exists to do some mathematical/engineering tasks and then bring back again the results into another grasshopper list ?

Can all of this be done in one grasshopper algorithm ?

Open an existing excel file --> Apply a value (or list of values) in a specified column/row of this excel --> Run the excel computation to get the result --> extract the expected results in a data component in same grasshopper algorithm ..

I hope I am clear .. I am just looking for the intermediate component related to the existing excel file.

Thanks.

There are a couple of Excel file reader/writer plugins, which will most likely be able to do that. You will have to run everything twice, because Grasshopper doesn't know it has to "wait" for Excel to do its thing, but that should be easy enough.

So there is Lunchbox, which has some great components for Excel stuff (and many other cool things)

Also gHowl has Excel read/write components

And I am certain I have seen more as well, but those 2 should be sufficient.
