  1. Separate all inputs and outputs of the code block you want to cluster.  (move the code block on the canvas away from components that are its parents or children)
  2. Use appropriate 'Geometry' and 'Primitive' components from the 'Params' tab for each input and output connecting the code block to its parents and children.  Make sure there are no wires connecting the code block to other components on your GH canvas other than wires to/from these param components.
  3. Select the code block with input/output components from step 2 and create the cluster.

If you want to provide a more verbose Name and Description of each cluster input/output, you cannot (unfortunately!) just edit the cluster inputs that were created automatically.  Instead, you have to create a new cluster input (inside the cluster) with Name/Description, then re-wire to use it, inside and outside the cluster.  It's easiest if you save the cluster with old and new inputs/outputs in place, move the wires on the outside from old to new, then edit the cluster to delete the old.
