How to build a lofted surface through two closed planar curves?

I got one curve and offset it and move it through a Z vector, but I connect these two curves to the LOFT, and there is no result. I have tried to build lofted surface through two random curves, and there can be a result.

By the way, the two curves are joined curves.

Please help me! What is the problem? Thanks!

Offset typically changes the tree structure: i.e. if your curve was at {0}, the offset curve is likely at {0;0}.
If you use Merge component before connecting them to Loft you can use a Panel or Param Viewer to check if they are in the same branch. If not, Flatten. Loft works between curves that are in the same branch, separate branches implies that you want multiple lofts.

Thanks very much Trevor! And I found my another problem was that there were several sharp corners in the curves, so after I filleting them, the loft worked!

Trevor, I have a similar problem. I have one "closed planar curve" but when apply a Rotate3D grasshopper reads it as only a planar curve. Why is grasshopper changing the type of curve from closed to just planar?

Any suggestions would really help. Thanks.Kadim.
