how do I load grasshopper in rhino 5 WIP 64bit?

Hi,

How do I load Grasshopper in the Rhino 5 WIPrelease? It worked at home in the 32-bit version (typed Grasshopper on the commandline) but where I work I have a 64 bit version of Windows 7 and I have no idea how to load it. I checked in the usual places for a file like grasshopper.rhp but no luck. It works in the Rhino 4.0 version obviously.

Run the PluginManager command and Load the Grasshopper.dll file.

Doesn't seem to work with 64 bit. I get the following Rhino Plug-in Error:
Grasshopper.dll
Unable to load Grasshopper.dll plug-in: initialization failed.
NOTE: Plug-ins built for 32 bit Rhino will not load in 64 bit Rhino.

same here it doesnt installl...thats what is keeping me away from rhino 5

GH auto-installs to the Rhino 4 Plug-ins folder in the Program Files (x86) directory.

Find the GH folder, then copy and paste it into the Rhino 5 Plug-ins folder, then install the Grasshopper.dll plug-in file.

but its showing the same error,, says ""plugins built for 32 bit wont load in 64 bit rhino"

I was under the impression GH 0.7 wasn't 64 bit compatible yet? - Not entirely sure that's still the case though as i've been too busy to follow things as closely as i should recently...

So i've been using GH 0.6.59 with Rhino 5 64 bit, but still go back to Rhino 4 32 bit running GH 0.7.45 to play with the new stuff. Does get a bit confusing... That is unless the latest GH versions run on the 64 bit platform now, it's been a while since i tried.

Can't wait to have everything 64 bit again.

ya may be that is the problem coz i tried runnin the latest build of grasshopper on my 64 bit machine..rhino 5 wip ...may be its only till 0.6.59 that it supports 64 bit...

The GH 0.7 versions should run in V5 32 or 64 bit. You need to load GrasshopperPlugIn.rhp with the plug-in manager instead of Grasshopper.dll.

thanx steve it wrks but the commands in the " Math " tab "Mesh", "surface " tab are missing....
i tried reloading it twice but same error occured.....

Hi everybody,

I just encountered the same problem. When I loaded either grasshopper.dll or GrasshopperPlugIn.rhp in the PluginManager it didn't load and said: "Plug-ins built for 32 bit Rhino will not load in 64 bit Rhino."

Even if I uninstalled and reinstalled the most recent GH-built it still gives the same feedback...

I'm running Win7 64bit with the newest versions of GH, Rhino 4.0 and 5.0 WIP (installed and updated everything today!)

Is there a solution? Would be great!
