algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi yall!

I'm working with hoopsnake right now trying to figure out the best way to avoid collision and intersection of different elements. I'm starting out with a primitive that has 12 pentagonal surfaces and 2 hexagonal surfaces. I'd like an aggregation with only pentagonal faces touching. Any advice would be great - below are the aggregation and script.
