Thanks

What do you mean by hide exactly?

I have a grasshopper definition which is a bit complicated, I need to hide all the components of the method and leave the toggle only, so that people without Grasshopper knowledge can run it easily without letting the rest of the definitions confuse them.

It would also be great if there is any shortcut that can direct them to the Toggle and the result, or a definition in Rhino like: _grasshopper\filename.ghx !  I've heard about the remote control panel but unfortunately I couldn't find out any information regarding it.

It would be the best if we can run the Grasshopper script as a Rhino command.

Many thanks

Sameh

The Remote Control Panel is not available at present, I was hoping to put it back in for 0.9 (the next release) but it's taking too long to release 0.9 so I probably won't get around to it.

You can do a number of things:

  • Put your components into a cluster. This will effectively hide them from the top layer. Do note that clusters are unfinished and lacking in basic features.
  • Put your components far away, people will then need to scroll a lot to see them.
  • Put a large Text Panel on top of your components with a message printed on it (Warning! Remove at your own peril! or something like that)

There is no mechanism for hiding or layering components at present, I'd like to add layers at some point, but this will probably be a Grasshopper 2.0 feature.
