Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody just starting to pick up the basics of grasshopper parametric design.

I'm trying generate seemingly random iterations of hedrons, similar to this:

Can anybody give me a clue as to where to start or point me in the right direction for a tutorial?

Facet dome on random points on a sphere should probably do the trick:

Pretty. Another option would be to use the single 3D voronoi cell component. That way you can also play with distances of cutting planes.

This is exactly what I am after!

I have been trying facet dome with random points on a sphere. I have been assuming that you would need to create a sphere then randomize some points on its surface then link that to the dome? Unfortunately I haven't even been able to get points on the sphere yet!
