Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello - I'm just curious to hear how other people / firms organize their grasshopper definitions.

The way that I always try (but usually fail) to do it is by function of the definition with these 5 'buckets' being the top level. I haven't really tried breaking the structure down any further that that. Those 5 buckets are:

1. Form Generation - Massing

2. Rationalization - Panelizing, Subdividing / rebuilding crvs

3. Analysis - Solar exposure, daylighting, shadows,

4. Interop - Definitions that use Hummingbird, Lyrebird to migrate data and geometry from rhino to revit (or other applications)

5. Data-mining - GIS extraction - @it, meerkat

I'd be really interested to see how firms do it - I have a lot of inexperienced users, and I think having a really clear structure might help them find the tool they need for the job.
