generative modeling for Rhino
I have just downloaded Grasshopper to my Mac and when I try to install it says I do not have Rhino 4.0 installed. I am using the newest Mac version 5.0? I have also installed Parallels. Do I need to find an old version of Rhino?

Hi Malachi,
Grasshopper will not run on Mac OS with iRhino. It will only install on Windows with Rhino4 and can be made to run on Windows with Rhino5 after it's been installed. There is a never ending stream of problems with running Rhino on a virtual machine, so McNeel does not support VMWare or Parallels. You may be able to get it to work of course, but you won't be able to get much help if you can't.
You technically don't need Rhino4 though, if someone will give you a copy of the files inside <ProgramFiles>\Rhinoceros 4.0\Plug-Ins\Grasshopper\ then you can put them anywhere you like and load the GrasshopperPlugin.rhp in Rhino5.
