Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

An incremental update is available, this release fixes an incompatibility issue with FIPS enabled computers. The internal version of this release 0.9.0075

You can download this release from the usual location.

New features in this release:

  • Added value snapping to the number slider object (warning, lame UI).
  • Galapagos Fitness Landscape component now accepts -1 as Count input for perfect squares.

Bug fixes in this release:

  • On computers with FIPS security settings, Grasshopper would not load correctly, this is probably fixed.
  • Point Order display arrowheads would be much too big under certain conditions, this is fixed.
  • Pull Point would not work on rectangles, this is fixed.

Which Rhino5 Service Release do you have installed?

I have an educational licence. Is that why?

That wasn't what I asked :)   The license is irrelevant, what matters is what Service Release you have:

If you have something less, you should consider updating to SR8.

It says "Version 5.0  (5.1.20927.2230, 09/27/2012)"

Yup, that's really old. Updating to the latest service release is free and you should definitely do it.

Ah, cheers=]

David,

Not sure this is the correct place to ask this so feel free to delete or move it.

As you are currently working on 2.0, I was wondering if you though a 'search for component' would be helpful. This could be to a selected part, or the whole script.

On a few occasions, with larger scripts, I would find this useful as I know the component I am effecting but not where it lives in a certain section. Just a little time saver.

Thanks

Luke

Have you tried the F3 function?
