generative modeling for Rhino
Hello, my aim is to simulate a glacier on the surface...at the moment i have a typical triangulated surface and the idea was to make another surface or solid on top which would get thicker on the flat surface and thinner on a steep one depending on the angle difference of the normals...has anyone got an idea how to do this easily? I have no success... Thank you very much...

Hi Jiri,
several approaches spring to mind, but tell me, do you already have the glacier outlines as a shape, or do you also want to simulate the path of the glacier?

thank you very much for answering! the thing is that I have an island out of a triangulated mesh near Antarctica...which is mostly covered with ice glacier...a simulation of the path might be nice...the problem is that some rocks should be sticking out as well...maybe best would be to create the outlines and then apply the parameter onto it...i could model the areas around the rocks myself....thank you again
