Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Guys,

We are trying to identify the index of two consecutive numbers in a same list (i and i+1) but are not getting the expected result with the following technique.

We tried rounding the floating point numbers and changing the threshold but it didn't work. We thought it could be a decimal to binary issue maybe?

How else could we proceed that and what could be causing the issue?

Many thanks,

Arthur (and my colleague Andrei)

As an alternative you could try subtracting one from t'other and seeing if it less than your tolerance.

Can you post you numbers?

Any example of a list of points? Any example of what you want with the output? (Cull the points, flag them).

My JPEG to Grasshopper converter is currently broken, so posting your file might be quite useful.

Hi Arend and Danny,

Thanks a lot for your replies - problem fixed - The problem was not in the similarity but in the way we generated the numbers, sorry about that. Grasshopper was right and we were wrong :)
