generate line[s] from intersection point[s] on curve[s] to center point[s]

Greetings to all,

Today I have a question regarding 'universal joints' for a network of curves. For straight lines this seems to be no problem--because lines can be used as vectors--but with curves (not lines) I can't seem to make points connect so I can then generate simple gussets.

First, this is what I am trying to achieve [using straight segments for making simple gussets]:

Alternatively, splitting the curves [Brep|Curve] seems to work so far for maintaining curve aspect (smooth instead of line) from the center points, as shown below:

However, I am still unable (better said incapable) to generate a line segment or designate a vector from an intersection point to origin [center] point:

Thanks in advance to whoever has an idea. Attached is a .ghx.
Much much appreciation for any help!!

Best!

Hmm ...

Are you (in general) trying to do this:

using curves instead of lines?

peter, saw the post, thanks for asking - I am indeed trying to get something going that is similar to this with curves instead of lines:

1. generate nodes, if needed (using curve segments will require me to extrude a profile (circle) along curve segments or to loft multiple circles placed on perpendicular frames along these segments defining the node links - and then I'd have to boolean the sphere at each node point, kind of like this: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/video/polygonprototyping?id=2985220:Vi...

2. what I want to do is generate straight segments (lines not curves) from the intersection point on each curve (not line) to center of node so I can place triangles in between the curve segments defining the node links. I hope I am explaining it right, though it's similar to this other node system: https://ledatomica.wordpress.com/2010/08/28/organic-space-frame/ , but, again, with curves. I don't need the meshing part of it as my intension is a gusset (made of flat triangles in between curves). Here's a very poor illustration of what I need: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5505ilJrW6KUS1NMWFSR1Q0UVE/edit?us...

Any ideas?? thanks in advance!
