Divide list in uneven lists

Hello Everyone

I have:

A variable number of elements (4-12)

A variable number of colors to assign them (1-4)

I need to split the list of those variable elements based on the number of colors I choose.

Here's what I need

Let's say I have 5 elements

If I choose 2 colors I need a list of 3 and a list of 2 elements

If I choose 3 colors I need two lists of 2 and a list of 1 element

If I choose 4 colors I need one lists of 2 and three lists of 1 element

How can I obtain this?
