generative modeling for Rhino
In the new version of GH 0.80051.. why are the files colored blue and pink?? On what grounds is the color coding done ((might be a naive questio,,,just interested to know ??

Permalink Reply by Danny Boyes on August 24, 2011 at 6:00am Yes. Binary files are not user friendly, you cannot open them and read whats there, but are very small. XML files are the opposite.
The change has probably come about because there were a number of posts about file corruption. This usually occurred when people were saving to usb sticks and were removing them before the file had saved. This way Binary files are smaller to post online and therefore quicker to download.
I also think that there has been an effort by David to make the file structure more robust with some error checking and compression of chunks with in the file format.
