generative modeling for Rhino
Permalink Reply by Fred Becquelin on July 12, 2012 at 9:15am It is possible. Do you know about control points?
Permalink Reply by X.Arthur.Ma on July 12, 2012 at 9:56am I know control points.
But how to do it in GH? Also, how to make the control points exactly at the tangent point?
Permalink Reply by kwanphil cho on July 12, 2012 at 11:33am hey arthur. try this one. I hope that it is helpful.
Permalink Reply by X.Arthur.Ma on July 12, 2012 at 4:23pm Thanks, but this is too violent. the whole shape changed. So if each circle is tangent to 2 or 3 circles, it cannot meet the requirement.
Besides, you have to pick out the points from the list by hand thus cannot be used to a large number of circles.

Permalink Reply by Rhydro on July 13, 2012 at 11:10am I'm not sure it will always work, it seems to be sometimes... very odd, because of the distance between control points and tangent points which can be zero.
The VB component is David's one, to find multiple intersections.
Dunno if it's gonna work with so many circles...

I'll test on the file.
That's really a big help.
Permalink Reply by X.Arthur.Ma on July 13, 2012 at 1:10pm Well, it doesn't work.
I think it's the reason you mentioned. it cannot find the multiple intersections.
Permalink Reply by Rhydro on July 13, 2012 at 2:55pm If you post your gh file I could maybe take a quick look to what is happening
