generative modeling for Rhino
I am playing a bit with a circle packing def by urban future organization and a flow along surface def. I am not sure if I am doing it right!
My problem is, the circles get all the time stretched and the pattern looses the shape.
Furthermore I will combine the object with a column in the shape of a nodes/bone structure. Is this possible? And if, how looks the connection? Made with T-splines?
I add a pic of the cardboard pavilion, for an impression what I mean. I don't want to pack it like that,in a sphere, more on a kind of organic "leave"!
I hope someone might help me and of course if someone has a better idea for the circle packing and flow along surface problem, I'll appreciate it!
Can you tell please what components need to make this definition work right? Look like something missed
Could anybody help me with a problem I am having with the circle packing.
I am trying to create a small tube like pavilion that is formed out of cones which will be its suport structure.
With the circle sphere packing used with the help of this post I got somewhat close.
The problem that I can't figure out is how to make sure every circle touches the next.
What I introduced was a upward working gravity(UForce) in the spirit of Gaudi's hanging chains.
Still I have the problem of some circles overlapping and some not touching.
Does anybody know a solution to this problem?
(I have taken in account that the circles which are overhanging the ridge won't be used)
Hi, I'm trying to play around with this script, but I cannot open it on Grasshopper. Would you be able to send me a copy of the script with a readable format?
Thank you in advance!
I tried the definition of Gabe Krause and this one works fine! You need the additional components like Kangaroo. Then try it again!
here is the direct link to the def that works
Thanks a bunch!
It was because I was using IE instead of Firefox.
Thanks again :D
