yes, thanks, I'v seen that. but its still has problem, what i want is the same shape srf but the control points weight is changed. not to change the srf shape to achieve the same influnce. is that possible?

maybe need to use rhino script to change it? because, i just know a little bit script about vb.net, most of the script in gh are Byval but not Byref, which means its not possible to influnce original srf, and as i know, there is no way to create a srf with the same shape with the one has different points weight. so...through rhino script? I just guess.

Hi i know. This is what i wanted to do. Unfortunately the RhinoCommon Class is not working in the way it should. I really tried a lot of things.

Maybe you'r right try to do a simple weight command via RVB. Hopefully the strange weight effect isn't there. Searched for some examples on the internet for weighting control points and neither found examples for rvb nor for gh scripting :-(

 

The thing about ByVal and ByRef i didn't understand...do you mean by that you want to have a modified copy of the original one?

yeah, someting like that, I mean the gh cannot change the input geo, that's the problem.  I also saw the similar demand in the wish list of Rhino5, so I will wait for a while.Thank you very much.

You'r welcome. Oh yes that's true. Now i understand what you mean with ByRef and ByVal. What do you wan't to do in the end with all of that? Is it kind a visualization of data? Maybe you find a workaround? Good work and best regards

if you want to operate on the surface you have to first duplicate the surface
