camera contol grasshopper

All,

Is there any way to contol the rhino camera with grasshopper. The control points seem to bea specific type of point in rhinos system and can't be grafted to a point command in ghop.

Was interested in attaching a z value slider move to a camera to explore various views a spheres horizon from various heights. Would appreciate any help or thoughts.

Hi Jonathan,

the only way to do this is to write a Script in a VB or C# component. It's not particularly difficult, all you need is a Viewport Name and a Point location (or points if you also want to set the target). But I've never tried this before, it might result in a very clunky display.

Check out the most recent post on my blog. Within the definition at the bottom of the post is a scripting component that will change and adjust the camera of the active viewport. You can specify the camera and target location, along with the focal (lens) length and the camera up vector.

Yea, the blog is down... and being the super tech savvy guy that I am, I have no backups :(... its been said time and time again, but back up EVERYTHING no matter where it is or who controls it.
