generative modeling for Rhino
Hey guys, can anyone tell me how to triangulate a simple brep/polysurface with the help of Grasshopper? It seems very basic but somehow I am unable to crack it. May be 'cos m new to Grasshopper.
Thnx.

Permalink Reply by tiqué on June 7, 2012 at 6:23am the thing is that i used the panelling tools to generate a set of panels on a surface. hence i have an extruded polysurf as a panel. now when i proliferate it on the surface, according to the surf modulation it spreads so obviously the panels will be non planar at places to achieve the curve... which lands me in a new problem to how to triangulate this panel to make it planar. hope m clear.
Thnx.

Permalink Reply by tiqué on June 7, 2012 at 6:29am the red thing is a single panel output on the base surface... i started off with a 3d box as a panel

Shift List could be one way to achieve these results
Permalink Reply by Danny Boyes on June 7, 2012 at 9:25am I was creating surfaces to demonstrate an example on. Unless you provide some files I cannot tailor make anything that is going to work straight out of the box for you. You will have to figure out how your model fits in with this definition.
Permalink Reply by tiqué on June 7, 2012 at 10:28am Danny, i hv attached the files which i m working on. if possible have a look. appreciate it. from what i can see theres some problem in the formation of the pline... seems like its not taking into consideration all points.
