Box Morphing and multiplying module upwards on Z (not only x and y)?

Hi guys,

I am working on a gyroid module that can easily be tiled on x, y and z. If copied next to each other they all match up. But I want something more interesting than this instead of just a linear copy/paste.

So I have managed to box morph this module on a surface and can control the divisions on x and y which is cool.

But I am having trouble trying to find a way to then multiply them upwards so that I can create a morphed grid of these gyroids. Ideally i could taper and twist them to have the affect I want.

If only I could get these boxes to create new box on top of them that shares one surface so the modules fit nicely together.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Daniel

You can create multiple surfaces (by offsetting the main surface and then deforming them to have the effect you want) and then use the Blend Box component between them.

Thanks Vicente, this is exactly what I was looking for! Cheers !

Hi All,

I'm trying to define a gyroid minimal surface but I don't even know where to begin with!!! can anyone help me understand. I know I sound lost and confusing, but I am desperate to start from somewhere!!!

Thanks
