generative modeling for Rhino
Hey!
Does the AlignPlanes component (reduce their serial rotation) suddenly have a bug? i only get null-planes as an output.
anyone experiences the same?

I can repeat that, I'll fix it.

Fixed. I think the validity check for Planes was tightened up recently and it started rejecting the plane I used to output.

i guess there's hardly a workaround until the next release?
maybe a custom component?

No workaround. Sorry.

!!!
cant finish my project nicely right now ..
could you please give me a quick hint / help how to fix this? otherwise my animation (main thing) will flicker like hell.
got my finals on tuesday here at the angewandte.
cheers

but my curves tangle wildly, a loft of polygons drawn on the planes in this way would 'spin' like a sandclock when the curve turns 180°.
i already defined some surfaces to align every single plane to the nearest point on the surface. this works for the still geometry.
but for animation i will probably have to just pipe the curves (also heavy ..) and mesh them afterwards - so they get a uniform shape ..
anyway
