hi everyone,

I have a problem with 3d result visualization by using ladybug. the point result shown in

Is there anyone can help me?

I have been trying to 3D-scan objects of different kinds, and trying to input the mesh generated from these scans into Grasshopper, in order to try and create animations that could look something like the fantastic animations seen in the video below.

The thing is, that I can't work out how to get from the mesh generated from the 3D-scan into for example a Kangaroo animation process, which is why I'm asking for your help. So does anyone have any experience doing this or does anyone know how to it could be done?

I hope to hear from some of the talented minds within this forum.

So I need to change this to create evenly sized squares on any surface and then be able to change the amount of squares with a slider. The surface I'm trying to apply it to is fairly geometric.

I'm still trying to figure Grasshopper out.

The original surface has a certain wireframe and so the little squares curve with the curves of the wireframe. I am basically trying to make a grid shell with all of the squares evenly spaced and oriented upward. From the top view it should look like an even array or squares.

Hi,

I'd like to create a tower which is 3d triangulate (see linked pictures). The global shape would be decided by defined boxes, and the algorithm would generate a structure that follow at its best the boxes, while being included in the defined boxes.

I am making 3d topography models off either an image or contour curves.

Hi,

I am a student working on my thesis project. I am looking for a plug-in or definition to be able to 3D scan an object and add shapes to the scanned object via grasshopper. For example, 3D scan a glass and parametrically add a handle to it that fits the form of the glass.

Does that explains it? if grasshopper can't do that, are there any other program or software that can do that?

How to go about cage deformer (like mesh deformer in c4d) with grasshopper ? - freeform deform (FFD) high resolution 3d points from source low res mesh to target meshtag:www.grasshopper3d.com,2016-06-13:2985220:Topic:15466702016-06-13T12:32:33.449Zyjhttps://www.grasshopper3d.com/profile/YOUNGJAECHUNG

Hello, I am working on an installation

and due to some displacement action of the actual thing I need to take measurements and produce an adjusted 3d model for a media artist to work with.

and I thought the easiest way (and really tight deadline now) was c4d mesh deformer because it lets one choose a cage object, so I modeled this "rig", essentially a mesh of 20 carefuly measured points to see how exact the real thing is to the 3d model. My plan is to deform the entire mesh from source (3d model) to target (meaured low resolution mesh = "rig" )

(above two images : C4D test... work with a spheric cage - but not with a mesh I modelled in rhino)

C4D Mesh Deformer doesn't work with the cage geometry like this because I think the cage geometry actually need to be larger and be more like a cage, but of course I can't measure Imaginary cage off this thing :)

So I am asking for a suggestion for any quick tool like mesh deform in c4d, or how one might go about it with grasshopper... with some coding.

Thanks!

Hi everybody

What is the best solution for adapting your complex models to be 3D printed? In order to export to .stl and print, I need to turn everything to one single closed surface or polysurface.

Imagine I've generated a model which contains a lot of intersecting volumes. Rhino commands such as CreateSolid fail due to high number of intersections. Any suggestions/sloutions..?
